Speaking Engagements with LaVerne
I’m a wife, mom, author, speaker, and the founder and visionary behind Free to Be Real, a women’s ministry I started in 2015. I’ve always used my home as a space to encourage and inspire: a place where women and teens gather on my couch, share their stories, and where we talk openly about life, faith, and everything in between. Through Scripture, storytelling, and honest conversation, I help women and teens trade shame for freedom, confusion for clarity, and exhaustion for the steady hope only Jesus gives.
My background is rooted in communication, discipleship, and a deep understanding of what it means to lead — especially as a woman balancing a lot. I’ve spoken to leadership teams, retreat groups, at high schools and colleges, and women’s events who all have one thing in common: they’re craving more than surface-level inspiration. They want honest stories, real conversation, and someone who walks with them through the hard, messy, and transformative parts of life.
Speaking Topics
This talk offers moms a biblical perspective and practical rhythms for sustainable motherhood. It gives permission to worn-out moms to release perfectionism and discover purpose in mothering.
Ideal for women navigating the devastating impact of partner pornography and sexual addiction. I share my own personal journey as the spouse of an addict, as well as the hope and healing I have found through Jesus and therapy.
This talk helps people discover how the “two houses” metaphor reveals the importance of owning your faith walk. Though centered around marriage, this talk inspires spiritual maturity, personal integrity, and a heart fully surrendered to God. Anyone can glean from it.

I come alongside women who need a thoughtful place to slow down, tell the truth about where they are, and discern what faithful next steps may look like.
In Scripture, God’s people built memorial stones so they would not forget His faithfulness in difficult places. In much the same way, our time together creates space to notice what your story has held, name what is true, and recognize where God has been present.
As a Christian discipleship mentor, I walk with women through seasons of transition, challenge, and change using Scripture, thoughtful conversation, reflection, and practical tools.
